Not seeing a weight on them, am I overlooking it? Once the weight of the wheels is known, the price can/cannot be justified.....

They also look like the Kenesis wheels, that are no longer being made

As far as pricing goes, I have to wonder if it is more directly related to machine time vs. randomly creating a price. The XV centers as well as the old kenesis and fiske are forged and machined, so starting with a thick blank of 5, 7 or 9" aluminum which is going to be expensive in just material, then 5 or 6 hours on a 5 axis machining center at "X" $ per hour could be why they are so much. I'm just guestimating all that but I know it takes a long time to machine away so much material on a machining center.

looks and price don't match for me. I think there's whole lotta better looking wheels than this for less money and some much much better for the same  price.   Pete

There is a lot more to a true performance wheels than look and price. There is material, casting vs forging, machione method, overall weight, moment of inertia weight, runout, and more.

That isn't to say I'm willing to drop a grand a wheel, but odds are there can be a noticeable difference in performance in a $1000 wheel and a $200 wheel.

Kenesis K59's or Fikse FM/5's with a custom center cap!  Price is correct as ditto on what HP2 stated.  Price reflects quality in all areas.  Can you imagine purchasing a $1000.00 rim and having 8 oz. of stick on weights on the inside.  I'd be hot.

I'm not big on the looks.  I would love to hear the weights on these though.  I'd like to see a wheel with more spokes or a mesh style....

Yep, I've seen those. Thanks for the links though.  I'm probably going to stick with 17 or 18" by roughly 9" wide.  I'd like to try some cheaper wheels first since I want to push the width as much as possible and want to be certain they will fit.
