I got a Flat today!

A Halibut that is.  :grinyes:

She was about 15 lbs. Trolling near Candlestick Park. The wind came in at noon and brought out the Sheep. Called it a day.

What a beauty!! I'd love to have a fillet of that with a little lemon and some buttered red potatoes!! MMMmmmm good!! Nice catch!! Congrats!!

Nice fish....nothing like fresh Halibut!  I can't wait for runoff in the mountains to cycle through....trout fishing should be great out here this year!  :bananasmi :bananasmi

Thanks guys.

While it isn't a Pacific Halibut species that go up to 500 lbs. It's a California Halibut that get up to about 40 lbs.

Yes it is. and will be once again.

There is nothing better than eating fish you just caught. Store bought fish can't hold a candle to hours old catch.

 :dupe: I just learned a new one,"california halibut",never knew there was such a fish,thought only alaska halibut.

well mike since you didn't get to wet a line up here in minnesota,i'm glad you got to get out down there and go fishing nice fish and thanks for the education.  :lol:
Never even been out to cali,fished out in the ocean in florida though.
