I don't like this story. Myself my wife and a few friends are gonna have are cars finished soon but were started prior to a cut in the octane that you could buy at the pump.

We have one gas station near me that sells Cam 2 @$9.99 a gal. :crying:. Other than that it's 93.  My friend 69 Cutlass that will be on the road shortly. His engine was 11:1 but has since put on alum. heads. Story is that it would effectively drop the ratio down a point? If not or it happens to ping anyway, What octane do you average using a 50/50 mix of 104/89 or 93.  Good enough or no?

Hey Al, couldn't you do a 50/50 mix with the 110 and 92 to get 101? At least your supply of 110 will be stretched out from mixing and last longer...

I just today did 5 gal 110 and 10 of 92 and it helped a bunch but still had a little clatter under part throttle.  I did this to start diluting the 92 and mae it a higher octane without draining the system. I actually went to the track today but was only there for about 10 minutes and left. I am having trouble with my hip and it hurt too bad to stay and be active. But as little as I use my car, Im just going to keep the octane level up for now.

Sounds like your close Al? If you have an adjustable vacume advance maybe you could tune it for the fuel you have now? Maybe try a set of plugs with a cooler heat range too?
