my cover is loose and crimping it back on in such a tight area is not easy.

Also, I sometimes find my dowel pin trying to come out.

Ya I had "fun" getting it crimped on. I did it with the column out of the car, and used a few c-clamps to hold it on as I crimped  the cover on. Not one of Mopar's better designs that's for sure?

Trial fit it.

If loose, bend the tangs in just a touch.

Try it again.

Repeat as needed until it just takes a firm push to get it on - but it stays on.

Do this before assembling in the car for best results.

It is mostly all a piece a cake.  The difficult part is keeping the tabs crimped on to stay.  I believe that flaming river makes a coupler that does not need any grease, crimps, or rebuild.  They do want a pretty penny for it though.

Roppa440 now I like that seem a little high but it looks like it would last as long as the car would.

I was very happy with the one I fitted. Made life easier with the 2" primary header pipes too.

I did mine a few years ago and it's torn already(gasket).  Not sure what happened to it.

While everyone is talking steering coupler.....My steering wheel will pulls out about 1/2 in. Sitting as if I were driving, it pulls out towards my chest. Upon inspection, its seems to be slop in the coupler. Does this sound right? I also just pulled the column apart to replace the ignition switch and everything looked good. Thanks for the input.
