Looks like a other special Gran Coupe in Europe. I have a '70 Gran Coupe 383hp with a 4 speed.

That's a big project you started.

I have also doing a lot of stiffning parts. Also from XV motorsports.

For the frame connector I use a piece of steel 50X50.

very good job.  I will probably follow many of your steps.  Have you misured the XV inner fender brace ?   I would be interested to know their size and thikness because I'm triyng to fabricate them through the bending of  a straight pipe.

it's time to post some progress.   All the front side of the body including the engine bay is almost finished.  I fixed many small spots where rust had thinned or damaged the metal.

Here a repair on the front frame rail.

an "hand-made" bended patch to replace a very thin area

last step was to grind all weldings, apply some bondo and coat with epoxy.   It now starts looking definitley better....

next week should be delivered the AMD parts to complete the bodywork.  I got new front pans, trunk pan, trunk extensions and quorters skins.   Still looking for an hood !!!

stripped and prepped the fenders.  I then shooted a first coat of epoxy and I temporarily fixed them on the car to get a "motivational" mockup...

there are many dents on the front end of the fenders that was cleverly hidden by a generous coat of bondo....   I will push out them later on.







I probbaly found the hood in Belgium (thanks Bart for the tip !!!  )

same job for the trunk lid

I found two different cut in the trunk lid for holding the luggage rack fixing nuts.  It looks like someone did the hole on the right side manually.

Do you have some pics showing the correct holes shape on the trunk lids equipped with lagguage rack from the factory ?

The hole in the first pic is from the factory. It is there for the factory trunk light to mount. The two small screw holes above it are for the light to mount. Not sure on the other pic. It looks like somebody cut that out.
