    "usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

    I have decided that it's time to attack the bottom side.   I also want to install a couple of frame connectors to further improve the chassi strength.  So, putting the car on a rotisserie is definitely the way to go.

    Too expensive for my budget to buy one, so I decided to farbricate it.  The shopping list was just 100 Euro of steel  :ylsuper: :ylsuper:

    I did some CAD work  that I hope can be usefull for anyone wants to fabricate an  "e-body" rotisserie, that can be easly unbolted for storage.

    Here we go (dimensions are in mm, sorry folks :lol:...):

     the rotisserie design is nice too, but it looks scary light to me   :22yikes:    you be carefull with that thing mate... we don`t want you trapped under a cuda body...  I don`t mean to harm your feelings or anything, but at least make sure you have your welds checked by a skilled welder.  :2cents:   better be safe than sorry

    Your 2 ends should also connect with a common long bar to keep the end from falling backwards when pushing it, which will happen with such small casters.

    A quick update:

    I fabricated my frame connectors using a square tube 40x40mm.  Pretty easy and solid solution.  Just a litte bit of patience taking the shape of the rear edge.




    Here we go with frame connectors welded in place and epoxy coated:

    Interesting how someone in Italy would develop an interest in these cars much less know they even existed.     I would have expected a vintage alfa or something :-)

    Just curious, are you north or south?  I visit family in Calabria every other year.

    I live in the south of Italy, in Naples where is also a big NATO base with a lot of US folks...   :cheers:

    Perfect wheather to drive a vert here;  can't say the same for the narrow streets.
     
    Probably there are about 20-25 E-Body standing actually in Italy.  One original 4-speed HEMI CUDA too....

    things are moving even though a little bit slowly...   :banghead:     The body prep for the first shot of base coat of the underbody seemed endless.

    I never seen the B5 before, so I was initially concerned.

    But it looks now really awesome.
