A very nice place. I looked at the pictures of the Chally. Give it a shot. I'd go there with cash in hand and offer 5K less then you both have discussed and see where you can meet between that #. The market is slow right now. He might work you a deal. You just never know.

For that kind of money it should be ALOT nicer under the hood. Also looks like the stripes are painted on instead of decals. The car needs alot of detailing to better justify the price. It's a nice car just not that nice.

I just bought a numbers matching 70 R/T Chally for $30k.

It is in very similar condition to the 2 listed here (with the exception of some slight rust around the real wheel arches), and everything else is solid as. Most things were rebuilt or replaced with new less than 10 years ago, including a respray and engine rebuild.

Whilst both of these look great, given the current market and the prices I've seen over the past 3-4 months looking for mine, I'd say they're at least $5k over-priced. But as mentioned, if it's something you can jump in and drive home, and not need to spend a cent on mechanical or body issues to get it up to scratch, then the only person that can tell if it is over-priced is you.

Don't forget the 'Cuda in the OP is from a dealer, and they're a lot harder to move on price.

Are you talking about the cuda or the Chally??  I am pretty much set on the Chally at this point.

And yes..the owner is saying that you can jump right in and drive it-----it's done--other than a radio.

The undercoating on the Challenger look right.  My 73 didn't have any undercoating on the shock x-member or the floor pan right infront of the rear end.  Is the car coded for underhood insulation?  Underhood insulation and full undercoating were part of the same package.  You didn't get one without the other.  Someone may have gone over the undercoating with a spray can in some spots.  It's hard to tell.

Thanks for looking.....not interested in 72-74 Challengers...the cuda looks nice--I left a message--we will see how much he will move on the price. $38K is a little out of reach.

Sorry, I was talking about the cuda. The Challenger is a pretty sweet looking ride.

I live in Charlotte and have seen this Cuda at Streetside in person. Its a nice driver and like someone else pointed out the engine bay needs lots of attention to be show worthy. The paint shines nice but has shrinkage that needs sanded and buffed. Streetside makes a pretty penny on anything they consign. This is a $25k car tops and not a penny more. Its a nice #3 driver at best. Also the undercarridge is undercoated and not detailed. Hope this helps.

It helps a great deal...now I really have no second thoughts about choosing the Challenger. I just hope I feel the same way when I get to Fla next week to pick it up. Thanks again.
