    You did a fine job. In the end it's just like painting anything else. What tools you have available etc. Your paint should stick like glue with the way you cleaned the engine.

    I am not someone that knows of painting by any means. When I bought my car someone apparently just sprayed a coat of body color paint onto the block. It looked great until I started driving the car. Then the paint all started to peel off.   :22yikes:  After about 3 years, my block was bare.   :stomp:  I know POR-15 has been getting beat to a pulp here, but I went with one of their paint kits. There was a degreaser, then something after that... Maybe an alkaline solution. My memory is failing me now.   :banghead:  Anyway, I have had the paint on the block for 4 years now with no signs of trouble. I did buy the brush on paint, and it takes two coats.

    I guess my point is, it's all in the preparation.

    Your motor looks nice. Any paint applied improperly will suffer from adhesion problems. Sounds like the first go round had issues. If the POR is working for you that's great.

    At least you guys have lightened up the thread! How much of the late model hemi's harness did you have to incorporate into the E body harness? I want to put one in my Jeep. Their are plenty of kits out there but what would you suggest.

    well i was going with the 5.7 hemi in mine and changed my mind when i seen what it cost to do the swap..when the price changes ill get me the 6.1..i think i came up with 20,000 to do the swap..they are nice,but ill put the 426 hemi and save 5000 dollars for i do that..for right now im sticking with my 440..
