    Finally going back to work after being Laid Off last year, it has been a long time for me and I am excited. I received a call Tue and was asked for a request to interview on Wed with a competitive company that I worked for last. Showed up 10min early, interviewed by 4 different Engineering Managers at the same time, they ended the interview rather quickly and short so my assumption was I did poorly. I spent last night wondering what I did wrong. I then received a call today with an offer and a start date next week.... woohoooooooo, I am excited, I am now working and even though it is a 6 months contract position, this is great for me and my family.

    This is a step down from my last position but I DONT CARE!

    Semiconductor Laser and Optics Industry
    new position is a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer

    I feel even better because I am 59yr old and they still wanted me!!!!!

    Great to hear!  Where are you, by the way?  I'm just curious because I'm in the Semiconductor biz, also, but a lot of the work we do is as a sub so we can bounce around pretty good.  Things seem to be picking up out here in Dallas.

    Congrats, I know how it feels to get the first job after being laid off for a while. Hopefully it winds up being a good one that you can stay at!
