No power!!
« on: May 30, 2010 - 06:09:23 PM »
Hi Folks,

I removed Steering Column, replace new Dash, put Steering Column back, tuen the key on: No Power! No light no buzzer sound, so cranking engine.

The only power I can see is the Ammeter.

I have not install any Gauge yet.

Is there any wire I should mention about, I mean like ground wire... or did I forget something?Everything work fine before I replaced the Dash, so i dont think that Ignition switch problem.

I have basic knowelege about electrical, just give me some hint, I will fighting with it!  :working:

Thank in advance!

The car is barracuda 73, non AC, slap stick.

I think you need to install the Ammeter gauge to complete the circuit to the ignition relay

Power comes from the battery through a fusible link normally found at the starter relay, then through the bulkhead connector at the firewall, & of course through the steering column wide plug..except for things like dome light, headlights.  Just need to get your meter out & start tracing...

2 big connectors on the column. One is for ignition and the other is lights, horn and stuff.  Did you make sure both are hooked and try it in neutral?  You may of bumped the harness for the safety switch under the hood

They both hooked. Let me try in neutral now, I thought it had to be Park.

Where is it and how I am gonna correct it?
