Pics of challengers without chrome trim?
« on: May 31, 2010 - 01:56:01 PM »
Personally I don't like chrome at all. I think it looks terrible on cars, except bumpers. But all the little trim around the windows and the front of the hood and stuff I can do without. Does anyone have any pics of their challengers without any chrome trim on them? Its very hard to google this....

Very custom with flush glass etc., but will give you an idea. This Chally is in the newest Popular Hot Rodding mag also. Might not be everyone's liking, but very nice with no chrome.

That is one nice car! Not a big fan of "shaving" but I love the minimized stripes on the side! Thanks for the site! Anyone else got any pics?

That actually looks pretty good. I plan to paint mine Sublime and I think it would look much better without any chrome on it.

My Challenger doesn't have its front and rear trim, but thats because when I was buying the car the seller was way too nice and was letting people test drive the car without him, some jackasses ripped off the trim pieces and returned the car and promptly left. I'll get some pictures up sometime soon.

Overall I like what they did with that car except the color - looks like they decided to clear coat the gray primer

heres what we did with our chally ... i was going to buy the trims but my dad gave me some words of wisdom while we were restoring it...

me: I think im going to get the trims...

pops: Your going to drive the car right ?

me: uhh yeah

pops: why spend all that money on trims then ? i can understand if your going to keep it as a show car but if your going to drive it invest that money in something else for the car.

mre: done !

there was a sublime chally next to me at the Nats last year or the year before that all the window trim, door handles, bumpers were painted body color, looked pretty good, but I like the chrome on those parts, I can look at my camera tomorrow night and see if I have pics of it.
