Anyone going to Mopars in the Park in Minnesota?
« on: June 01, 2010 - 01:02:28 PM »
I'm planning to drive up there Friday with a couple friends.  We will get a full day at the show Saturday and maybe a couple hours in Sunday before I have to head back to Chicago for my niece's graduation party.
This is going to be my first time at this show, I've heard it is becoming one of the best all Mopar shows in the US.
Anyone else going to be there?

I will be there all day both days.  This show is growing every year.  If there were a drag strip it would be right with nats.

This is my favorite show because it is relatively close by and we always seem to have a few parts to sell.  We'll be there on Saturday - hope to find a fan shroud for my 74 cuda.

We will be there set up in a building near the race car display, and will be selling a lot of 1:18 die cast. It started as a hobby, then I'm not sure what happened. Full time for about 13 years now. Stop by and say hi, and check out our E-Bodies (and others). It's a real NICE event.

I do
I've never been so I don't know where to meet. How about wherever the food is at 1 o'clock?

It would be cool to meet some people from the board there. But the logistics always make it a pain to try to set things up.  I tend to lose track of time when I'm at a big show! Plus at a large site, setting up a location and expecting people, some of whom may have never been to the show before, to all appear at a certain time is an exercise in frustration!
When I took my convertible out to the Nats a few years ago for the "year of the Challenger" I made up a little sheet to place on the dashboard to tell people from here and Moparts who I was.  I will probably put the same sheet on my '09's dashboard this weekend.  Hopefully my B5 R/T will be the only one there with Illinois license plates and the nose emblem replaced with a custom fratzog one!  Stop by and say hi if you see me by my car.

OK Let's meet along the isle where the food is. I believe the Mopar Collector Guide booth is there also. To make it simple lets meet at 1:00 PM Saturday around the MCG's booth. I'll be waring an Orange ball cap with HEMI on the front.

I'll try to remember to head over by the MCG booth around 1.
I'm tall and probably will be wearing an olive drab or camo "Dodge" hat,  I also have a "Mopars in the park" t shirt from our annual Chicago Mopar show I thought I'd wear to this MN show of the same name.
We're staying in Eagan.
I'll be with a couple local friends. All of us own Challenger convertibles but none of us are taking our verts to MN. :banghead: Maybe another year. :cooldancing:
I hope to meet some of you guys!
