Looking for black SE headliner fabric
« on: June 01, 2010 - 10:01:41 PM »
Has anyone used SE headliner fabric from Dantes? I'm looking for black like the original, now what they call black is actually dark grey. Anybody know of a source for real black fabric? :wavingflag:

Got mine from Stock Interiors.......about 4 years ago......almost.

http://www.stockinteriors.com/HeadlinerMaterial.asp?Itemid=12248&MakeId=7&ModelId=131..

Black.  I bought 3 yards and it took just about all of it.  Had to do some making of the rear window surround so that is where I used up the extra I thought I was going to have.

Just looked again at the link I posted.......this is vinyl and not the fabric.  They may not offer the fabric anymore.  Wouldn't hurt to give them a call though.

Next update..........found the fabric.......http://www.stockinteriors.com/headlinerfabric.asp

This just keeps getting better........StockInteriors.com is the ad appearing on the bottom of my page now.............

I just installed my interior without the headliner because I didnt want to mess with it and it looks decent enough without it. Please report back on your findings as I am in the same boat.....

Killer_Mopar is yours black? I hate to think about doing the headliner but it was replaced by the previous owner with some awful looking grey material & it is falling down, so I really have no choice. I'll keep you posted what I come up with.  :wavingflag:

Yes, mine is black. I already have the board, console, and cloth separated. I was going to just re-glue the stock cloth back on because it doesn't look that bad - but if I can get it new for a decent price, I may go that route.

i just bought and received my blue material from  Stock Interiors.  the weave is the same as the original, but there a backing material now, so its a little thicker.

other than that, i think it should do the trick.
