Problem with the 8 3/4 rear end

When I bought my '72 Cuda the previous owner told me it would need new rear wheel bearings because the passenger side was shot. It wasn't noticable other than heating the wheel up a bit. I took it to a shop that replaced the bearings on both sides and the next time I drove it I noticed a clicking sound. I just tried driving it today and noticed a VERY loud metal on metal "howling" noise. I put the 'Cuda up on jack stands in neutral and spun the rear tires by hand and noticed a "scuffle /scraping" noise coming from the rear end.

I was told to check the fluid in the pumpkin and saw the fluid line was just below the hole. Is that the right amount?
I've never worked on the rear ends and really have no idea what to do next.

Any ideas?

that is exactly the right amount of fluid. on the bearings though sounds like they A forgot or didn't know to pack the bearings with grease since they shouldn't see any dope from the rearend or B the bearings were not properly adjusted. the fact that they wanted you to check the oil in rear waves a flag that they are lost on old mopars and points to no grease on the bearings to me.
