« on: June 04, 2010 - 06:01:54 AM »
Hi all, can someone please post some pictures of the deck lid on a 1970 T/A Challenger, in particular underneath. We are installing a rear spoiler and there are no holes so need to know where to drill :clueless:
Our has anyone used the templates fpap?
Cheers
Toni

Here ya go,Barry sent me a this template measurements and pictures. I layed masking tape over the area were the spoiler will go and measured 10x before I drilled the holes, scary drilling holes in a perfectly good trunk lid I know! :scared:

In addition to that, FPAP sent a set of their underskin templates to me to check out a few years ago, they matched up to my original decklid perfectly.

I have a set of templates for cutting the under side of the trunk lid if you interested in them.  I'll take $10.00
for them.  I took a piece of card board and cut it to the shape of the spoiler.  Then did some rough measurements and stuck the bracket studs thru the card board.  Check it's fit on the spoiler.  I made sure they all lined up in a straight line.  And used the card board for a template to drill the holes.  I also put a piece of compressed foam inbetween the spoiler and declk lid when I mounted it so if it did get a little loose down the road it wouldn't rub the paint.
