71 Cuda Front Suspension Rebuild

Hi All-
I'm getting all the ducks in row to do the front suspension rebuild.
My neighbor is a manager for O'Reillys.  When I told him that I planned on using PST for the hardware/bushings, he told me not to.  He recommended that I use Moog parts, and since there's a thread here on Moog, it was an easy change of mind.

- New stop bumpers and T-Bar dust covers from Mancini Racing
- 1" torsion bars from Just Suspension ($195 includes shipping)
- Suspension rebuild tools from Auto Rust Technicians (wwww.autorust.com)
- A 16" Fork, 2-arm puller kit, mini-sand blaster, and grease gun from Harbor Freight
- Lots of penetration oil and cleaning solvents

Yesterday evening a spent a few hours reading the first 36 of 139 pages of the Suspension thread here on CC.com.  Lots of good advice.  I dragged/dropped some eleven pages of your questions/answers/advice.

Very little mention as to what kind of assembly grease/lubrication to use, though.  There is a recommendation to use "red and green assembly grease."  Being a novice to suspensions, what is red and green assembly grease?   Your experience advise as to what/which grease/lubrications to use (and where) is most appreciated.

I thought there were some posts about Moog bushings really going down hill in the last few years.  A few people said their new bushings were cracking and deteriorating in a year.    I'm sure others with more experience will chime in.

I like Kendall Super-Blu for grease.

I just replaced a pair of "parts store special" tie rod ends with a pair of Moog pieces.  The Part store junk had less than 3500 miles on them and showed obvious signs of wear.  I will always choose Moog if given a choice.  If their quality is deteriorating, they still have a ways to go before they are as junky as the "budget" garbage.

Thanks for the feedback.  Even negative feedback is worth knowing.  I hope the bushings don't wearout that quickly.  And, if they do, at least it will be easier to replace 4-year old parts vs 40-year old parts.  Always look on the bright side of life. 

I'll look for the Kendall Super-Blu for grease.

For an easy to find grease, I use Valvoline Syn Power synthetic wheel bearing grease.
