question about Accel "header" plugs

My engine has been running a set of Accel header plugs.....no pings, runs good....so I was going to just replace them with the same thing....but at $30 a set, I am wondering if they are worth it.....They seem to be sold for the purpose of working "better" with headers.....But I have dougs headers, which seem to be pretty easy as far as plugs....

Are these Accel plugs worth it?  I just seafoamed and wanted to swap out the plugs just to be safe and fresh.

a set of autolite platnum  will work just fine , they come with a 3 year replacement warrenty too.

If you don't need the clearance that is gained by using a shorter porcelain then by all means use a regular plug. Might as well save the money for something else. Also, I do believe that Accel plugs are made by Champion anyway.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

I've had good results with the Accel plugs, but the clearance gains are minimal.

I didn't have good luck with the accels.  Used several sets.
I couldn't get the little nipples to stay screwed on, even when I crushed them on the threads.

I've never used a full set of header clearance plugs, just the 1 or 2 cylinders that needed the clearance.

Turns out I dont have the "header" plugs ...just the plain #115 U-groove plugs.

I found a set locally.   :2thumbs:

My old plugs were gapped funny...some were at
.030 and most were at like .040 plus.

Standard champs are supposed to be around .035 as I recall...and these are u-grooved....so I kept the .030 as they were shipped....figuring the grooved part is probably closer to .035.

(fyi)spark plug gap depends on the ignition set up you are running.
