I did say email, not PM, I have those blocked because I prefer email instead of an email saying I have a pm.  ;)

I found a turkey feather that an assembly line person left behind when I tore out my headliner - gave it to the original owner as a souvenir. I have two pics, one of the steel factory id stamp on the roof that appeared after the blasting. The second one is an orange paint dab above the brake master cylinder that I've never seen on another ebody. I tried to upload the pics over several days but the uploader is always full.

I clicked on the 'send email' icon in the members list but don't see where I can include an attachment...

The paint daubs on the power booster or near it on the firewall are actually pretty common. All sheetmetal parts had a stamp of some kind, I am looking for more personalized stuff for this section. Names, doodles, odd notes etc.

Very odd about the turkey feather!

Updated again today with a blank broadcast sheet used for note paper.

Does anyone else have something to add?

Hey Barry.  Here's another pic you can use of the back of the glove box on my 71 Cuda also but this is signed by Mary.  I wonder if Stella and Mary were working together   :clueless:    D. Ward

Barry, what are the theories as to why the names are on the liners?

Where I work now, we started having some quality control issues.  Obviously no one would step up and say that they were the ones building the product that had issues.  The way we solved the problem was to have everyone write their names on the paperwork as they started the job.  If there was a complaint, we could go back to the paperwork and see who put that paticular piece together.

I wonder if something like that is going on here?  Maybe there was a quality control issue with the dash assemblies and they had whoever was assembling them, write their name on the glove box liner.  That way they would have a way of tracking where the problem was. :dunno:

I mentioned what I thought in the caption for the first photo on that page.  ;)

I have to wonder how many hours total Rock spent signing cars during his career too.

When you think about it...these people would quite possibly all be retired or even passed away by now?  That just occurred to me?

Hey Barry,

Here's one from either a 73 or 74 Cuda. The holes were drilled for the bumper filler.

Here is the only marking  I can find on my 71 barracuda.

Looks like an arrow.
