Barry, what are the theories as to why the names are on the liners?
Where I work now, we started having some quality control issues. Obviously no one would step up and say that they were the ones building the product that had issues. The way we solved the problem was to have everyone write their names on the paperwork as they started the job. If there was a complaint, we could go back to the paperwork and see who put that paticular piece together.
I wonder if something like that is going on here? Maybe there was a quality control issue with the dash assemblies and they had whoever was assembling them, write their name on the glove box liner. That way they would have a way of tracking where the problem was.
