I found this mark on one of my tailights not sure if it`s a factory marking or one from a boneyard.It was on the car when I bought it.I`ll let the experts decide!

  someone scratched "smoke pot" on my ashtray.  it came from the factory like this as i am the only owner of my cuda.  the picture doesn't capture the words very good but that is what it says.

that doesn't surprise me. i remember reading in one of the mopar mags back in the '90s about a '71or2 roadrunner that had a marijuana cigarette and an unopened bag of potato chips under the carpet.

Last week I soaked my 71 Cuda Fender gill brackets in Evaporust.
One  fender, the lip on the wheel well was turned up. However the other one wasn't. 

Therefore I believe that my OEM gilled fenders are from 2 different cars. A 14" and a 15" fender.
I bought both of these fenders back in 89'. There were in excellent shape.

My conclusion is this one was a 14" 71' Cuda fender?

Written is: E 14.

The Factory must've marked it on the brackets so the next assemblyline person would be able to look up and know what size tire/wheel to put on. Just a theory, but it makes sense.

This isn't car related but way back when I used to work on cessna airplanes, I built an elevator (Pitch flight control surface) for one of the planes from sheet metal.  It is completely enclosed.  The line crew guys and myself all signed our names and printed things like the current price of bread, milk, gas, etc.  Kind of a time capsule of sorts.  I wish that I would have taken a picture but back in those days you still had to take 35mm film to the store to get prints.  We not only did not have cell phone cameras, nobody had cell phones.  lol
