Steering column wont let go of the key...

Steering column key switch wont allow me to "push in and rotate CCW" to allow me to pull the key out.  Key is installed teeth up, so this is not the problem...any ideas?

70 steering column?  Right in front of your key is the last column tube. The linkage on the column to the trans linkage usually pushs the part up. Turn that part of the column closest to the dash by hand counter clock wise, then remove the key. This may be it

also check the linkage lever on the steering column from the engine bay side. If the linkage is missing or not adjusted right it won't let you take out the key. I have to move that lever all the way down to remove my key.

My linkage got knocked off when I hit a bump too hard & now my car won't go in park, so the key won't come out.

It was the underhood lever.  Forgot to zip-tie it down...
