Went for a 1 1/2 hour ride today to this guy whose been collecting sh!t for for 50 years. He had tons and tons of carbs, a 427 4 speed Impala 2 door, and at least 20 roll up sheds of all kinds of tools, machine shop items, and parts. It was literally overwhelming to take it all in. My friend and I felt like those 2 guys on American Pickers. We spent a couple of Franklins there today and may plan on going back again ASAP. He is kind of stiff on his prices but were hoping that with todays purchases, we can loosen him up for better deals. An example...12 bolt Chevelle diff; $600 bucks. 3 and a half to 4 Frankies and we would be shakin hands. Dana with sure grip; I didn't even offer for fear he'd shut the door. (That's his MO if your offer is too low)
I'm looking for stuff to flip but he's making it difficult for me to see opportunities. My friend and I will discuss our next strategy on if we can win old man over to get some deals. He likes us so we have good rapport with him so thats a good start.
Here is the list so far of the carbs written down.
