For something a little less obvious, Chryco suggested to me once to use 1" wide sheetmetal strip and install it across the rubber isolator-from the frame bolt to the engine bolt.  :2cents:
I'm sure that chain will do the trick though.

Good job. Believe me....it is strong enough. Even at 1/2 depth. Chain is snug right?
Yeah, I snugged it up "just so".   Wasnt sure how snug to go, so just took a guess.  LOL

Just a followup...

Had the car out for about 60 miles yesterday....

I found that the pretty strong vibration I had been feeling in my steering wheel around 40 mph is about 90% gone!

So the chain has helped on a couple fronts.

I know the "right" thing would be to replace the mount .

But, with the chain installed, any reason I cant wait awhile?

If it was me, I'd replace it. Not a very expensive part and you are asking the passenger side mount to do all the work of holding the motor in place. The chain is keeping the motor from lifting, but the other mount is what is keeping it in the right position when you're not pulling hard. It's a job that is supposed to be shared with the driver's side mount. :2cents:

Wont hurt a thing to leave it that way a while. It cant move left or right or front or back....enjoy. But the broken mount will deteriate after a while to and start settling down on the drivers side. It takes a while tho. You shouldnt have an issue driving to the show and back

I had a mount break on a 1-2 shift which took out the whole clutch linkage. Had to drive home by shifting without the clutch. It was a new Mancini mount. I called them and they said that mounts are made in India now because enviro laws don't allow US manufacturers to source them. They admitted they had other people break them. I ended up with the locking mounts but there sure is a lot more vibration now - but the shifts are much crisper.

I actually suggested a 1" wide piece of steel approx 1/8" thick from the block to the Engine mount bolt
