1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE
« on: June 10, 2010 - 09:35:23 AM »
Let's try this again...

1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE. VIN, Fender Tag, Core Support, Door Sticker, Cowl, Core Support, and Engine Pad numbers all match, 383 Magnum (Numbers Matching Engine), SlapStick 727 Auto trans, Front Power disk brakes, 3.23 Sure-Grip - 8 3/4 rear, 1 of 2,522 (1970 383 R/T SEs), Rallye Dash, Leather Bucket Seats, Go-Mango Orange (originally gold) with black top, black stripes, hood blackout and black Go-Wing. All Special Edition (SE) items are intact. Real R/T SE car (JS29) that runs strong and ready for cruising. Car has a really nice black interior, everything works including the clock. Chrome & stainless trim, all glass, and vinyl top are in excellent condition. Paint shiny and in great shape as well. Color is correct Go-Mango for 1970 even though the car was originally FY4 (Gold). Outside door handles are correct for a Challenger (concave) and were restored by Jules The Wiperman. I believe all the sheet metal is original except the lower driver's quarter that was replaced with a factory quarter and the filler panel between the rear window and the deck lid. Detailed engine compartment with modern Denso alternator and 600 cfm Edelbrock electric choke carb.

Included with the car: New Radiator Hoses, New Correct Spring Hose Clamp Set, New Front End Parts, Correct Factory HP Exhaust Manifolds (2 Lefts and 1 Right), Manifold Mounting Hardware, Yellow Trans Gear for Speedo, Correct Factory Valve Covers, Original AM Radio, Original Alternator, 4 15" COMPLETE Rallye Wheels (tires, trim rings, center caps), 2 Bare Rallye Rims, New Overhead Consolette Lens, the Original Center Dash Speaker, Edelbrock Step-up Spring Kit, PERFECT early 1970 flat hood (was purchased for a conversion to a shaker), Custom-made indoor fleece-lined car cover, and some other misc. items (clips, screws, parts etc...)

This a driver (not an OE Gold Certified restoration car) that I have owner for almost 9 years. It is not perfect. However, if you want a car you can get in and enjoy right now (like I did) then this might be the right car for you. It has been very well cared for and only been wet 3 times (1 rain shower at a show and 2 washings) in the 9 years I have owned it. More pics and more info available on request.

Car is SOLD!

Thanks for the interest generated here.  Also, thanks for all the positive comments about the car.  I am getting out of the car world for now.  I had that itch, scratched it for 9 years and I have no regrets about letting it go.  We can now do some other fun stuff.

To answer the posted question, the car actually sold off of local Craigslist.

Keep the shiny side up guys!
