727 - shifts to 3rd... BUT!
« on: June 14, 2010 - 10:06:10 PM »
I got the Lokar kick down adjusted right (I think). It shifts to third, but it does it at about 3100 -3200 RPM's. I've got a 323 rear gear, so it goes into 3rd at about 50 MPH, then it downshifts to 2nd at 40 MPH.....
What the heck can I do to fix this?????

If that's at WOT then your shifts are to early... I'd tinker with the kickdown a bit more, there is an internal adjustment.

Great article!  I've had the same issues and do not have many choices for trans shops where I live.  With this article in hand it may help!
