    How much would you pay for this?

    A 71 barracuda no mot/trans. NEEDS.. Qutrs,rockers,lower finders,all floors pans,trunk pan and exts.,LH front frame rail, grill( it has one,but its ruff) Would need complet resto. The car is ruff. I dont see paying over $1000 for it.  ::) ??? But what would you pay?

    I'd say $1,000 TOPS  ;)


    Thats a lot of work man, the grill alone will set you back a couple of grand.  :-[

    I'd give you 1k any day, its a 71 Man!
    So what it needs quaters,floors and a trunk. Most cars that is a given to replace.
    The rockers and frame rail are just a few added challenges. Front frame rail is easy, Auto rust technicans makes a cap for it that fits very nicley. If you can get it for ,1k with some interior( at least the dash board) and the front suspension  and all body panels its easily worth it.

    I went and looked at the car.Every thing but the doors and uper fenders,would have to be replaced.He said he'd like to sell it for $3800. But he also said he take less.He knows what he has,what its wourth, and what it needs. He sounds like hes a little picky on who he sells it to. He's turnd down two poeple alredy.

    If thats the area he's looking at and your keen offer $2,800 and s-l-o-w-l-y work your way up until you reach an agreement.  ;)


    Lot of work and although the parts are out there being a 71 you'll also find that along with those parts comes a price.
    How many threads have we started with overpriced car parts?????  :( 8)

    It's not what it's worth.. you can't buy it for a grand. If it's some back yard farm find.. then you can getit for that.. maybe.
    Just remember.. one thousand dollars is nothing for that car.. you could part it our for twice that easy.

    Well the cuda was in his back yard. With about 7 other mopars. Two fully restord, a 72 cuda and a 69 bee. The cuda has been siting in a barn for the past 5 years.It's the only 71 cuda proj. car i've seen in Kansas scenc i've been look'n.A bout 8 or 9yrs. He did said he'd come down on the price,because he knows how much work it needs.

    if you can get it for 2500 -2800  its hard to find a fixable car for less...parts cars go for that :-\

    i bought my 70 cuda for $500 and it needs all that but it has the original motor and trans. its not impossible to find them like that but they are few and far between, just because everyone thinks that what they have is made of gold and there are peeps willing to pay their outrageous prices

    I never buy a car for what I could get later on, buy it for enjoyment only. How much would you pay for a car like that to drive?  :D


    The good thing is what ever you put in you'll see back if you decide to sell. ever.


    I'm never selling my Challenger and I've spent way too much I won't see it all again but hey!
    But!, I'll see it with use and enjoyment. After all, isn't that why we drive these beasts?  ??? 8)
