1971 Barracuda seat???
« on: June 17, 2010 - 03:15:20 PM »
Hello,

The blue seat has the chrome release and does not have the plug on the bottom.  Could anyone please verify what year the blue seat is...

My thoughts were it was pre-72, but I'm not a Cuda expert.    :grinno:

the material isnt the issue it is the hinging and the seat back frame. if it has a cast side cover or does the seat back go all the way down. 72 and up seat has a small cover on the sides with no hard back.

Neither frame is a '71.

Black seat with back removed - no springs visable, you would see them on a '71 seat.

The blue seat back has the side runners all the way down, not seperate.

i dont know about cudas but 72 challengers have the hard back cover and as far as i know didnt change untill 73 but i suppose the late 72 models could have changed,,
