Wow that burnt orange convertible looks a lot like mine, other than its R/T badging and hood. 8)
It has turn signal indicators on the fender which weren't available on R/T's, I wonder if that car is a JH27 car cloned to an R/T?
If you ever run across it again please check the VIN for me, and if its a JH27N0B car, I'd appreciate it if you'd get the owners contact info so we can compare notes!  :worshippy

Nice catch on those turn signal indicators. I believe someone added them as they aren't in the right location. They should be a little more towards the hood.

Here's a somewhat reference...

Are you positive on the location of your turn signal indicators being correct Mike?
Mine look to be similar location to what they are on its "twin" in 2010rt's pix from the cruise.
Here is a picture of my car pre-resto taken in the early 90's.  I bought my car restored so I don't know for certain, but AFAIK the car hadn't ever been restored or repainted prior to the previous owner buying it, and had the original front fenders on it.  You can see the passenger side indicator and the holes in the drivers side fender for the indicator.

My car was optioned with the light group so it originally came with the fender mounted turn signal indicators.
I noticed that my cars "twin" had a argent gray grill like mine too, R/Ts had black grilles.

I'll just say that my car came with the light group from the factory. Map light and all... But I hope this isn't a case where the dealers installed the fender turn signal indicators where ever they saw fit, but maybe..    :eek7:

The indicators would have been installed at the factory, not by the dealer I would think.  Maybe they moved the location some time during the model year, my car was a 11/69 SPD, when is yours?
We've really managed to hijack 2010rt's thread here on the turn signal indicator location debate!   ;D  Plus the huge pictures in his thread are making my cable internet connection bog down and freeze like I have dial up and it's driving me a little batty. :banghead:
I dug up some vintage literature to research this subject, I'll start a new thread in a more appropriate section and post them there!

Yeah, I'll apologize too to 2010rt.  Sorry we got off topic with the turn signal indicators.

My car was a March 20th 1970 build.
