I 2nd getting rid of the amp guage......... just butt the 2 wires together and wire up a volt gauge...  :2cents:
I'm working on getting a voltmeter conversion from dask werks. They were at Carlisle and were going to make me one there but they didn't have time to get it done.

When your Electric Fan turns on, how much in to the + Charge does the Amp Gauge Needle move while idling?

Mine moves well under an 1/8 needle deflection on the Rallye Gauge.

Now it sits just of to the positive side ever so slighty. I have the standard dash ( non-rally)

That's because the bulk of the flow is not going through the gauge but through the new wire.

I think it's because I added the MSD box and the electric fan. Not being stock it was ( still is) drawing more than it was designed for??  :dunno:  Voltage at the battery is still ok.   Am I safe doing this ? :dunno:   :clueless:

The setup is OK but don't rely on the ammeter info, a voltmeter to monitor the system full time is needed.

:woo:  I think I have solved my issue. I ran a wire from the alternator lug to the battery and now the Amp gauge is right in the middle! I have the electric fan and the MSD running right off the battery.

WHATS BECAUSE YOU JUST BYPAssed the amp meter
