My Uncle passed away

Well my Uncle passed away today after two weeks in the hospital. He went in for aspirating pneumonia and had to have the tube placed into his stomach to feed him on Friday. He suffered throughout.
He was very good to me. Talked to me as an adult ever since I was a little boy. At a time when I didn't get proper male attention. He was a horsemen and taught me that there was more to horse racing than gambling. He loved his Phillies and I got to take him to a Playoff game when they won the World Series two years ago.
It is amazing how much a person can do for a child when you treat them as an equal and share the simple pleasures in life with them. I know that we can all be fill-in dad's if we take the time.
Although I have carried way too many caskets in my short time, I am happy to know that his suffering is over and that he is reunited with his mom & dad and so much more.May he rest in peace; Ronald Willard Mays.

Joe, you have my condolences. We should be thankful that he went on to be with the Lord. Heaven is a place without strife, want, or need. I hope that his physical being wasn't in too much pain in his last days.
God bless you, Ronald Willard Mays.

Joe,
Sorry to hear about your uncle.
It's strange when I think back to the people in my life that are now gone. I think about something they did that might have seemed so insignificant to them at the time, yet it meant the world to me. Now I have that with me to pass on to my nieces and nephews.

Thank you all.
I found out that he was up and talking to nurses. The one nurse went to make a photo copy, walked back and he was gone.
Seems as though it was fast and that he was ok enough to be up and communicating. So apparently he was not suffering at the time. Probably a blood clot...
He will never be gone from me.
