That series was unreal ! I'm a die hard Cubs fan so I know all about heartbreak.

NZ - 1918 was the last time the BoSox won the World Series.  Can you image a team going that long without winning it ? You almost have to try to lose !  ;D

There are a lot of teams that have never won, granted there not that old of teams.

I like any team that is not the Yankers    IF you pay the largest salarys you should win ever year, they should go for the same thing the NFL has, that limits the max team payout and make this a competition, instead of giving A Joke a 200 million dollar contract  ::)

NZ- That team would be the BoSox.

"The Curse of the Bambino" - It's gonna hold. Hey, it worked last time the Sox made the series: 1986.

LB, Add one more game. It's best of 7. But we know what ya meant. Cards have some noisy bats right now. I say it'll be 6 games Bo Sox :)

The house Babe Ruth lived in when he was playing for Boston was bulldozed just before the ALCS started. May be there was a delayed effect as the Yankees won the first three before losing the last four. If the Red Sox win the WS, this Baseball fan will consider the curse reversed. Of course, ESPN will then give the Cubs grief until and whenever they win the WS :P. They'll make every kind of wordy refernce to the Curse of the Goat. It's what they do best... ::) That last line may sound a bit rantish but really it's not ;)

[Rant On]

As a side note after seeing two awesome Championship Series Game Sevens on successive days, the news this day shows some folks in Boston going nutcase resulting in one death and a vehicle with New York plates being torched according to some news reports. No wonder the umpires requested the on field police presence during game 5 or 6 in NY :-[  The blame is already being lobbed around like a hot potato, but the fact remains that in a household somewhere a young woman won't come home to see Mom and Dad ever again. Just plain sad :'(

[Rant Off]

For the record as Casey Stengel once quoted a fan, "...i've been a Mets fan since before i was born". Yeah, i know they're stinkin' up the place the last few years... :-X :P

I don't know how many of you watched game 1 of the world series last night, but it was very entertaining. I have no rooting interest, but it still was a thriller. For you Red Sox fans, I guess you need to take some Maalox to watch Manny Ramirez play the outfield :o
