HEAD LIGHT BUCKET COLOR

I HAVE A 72 FISH, IS THE HEADLIGHT BUCKET THAT BOLTS TO THE FENDER THE SAME COLOR OF THE CAR OR ARE THESE PAINTED FLAT BLACK. DOES THE SAME GO FOR THE FRONT OF THE RADIATOR CORE SUPPORT.THE COLOR IS B5. THANK'S.

The headlight buckets were origonally galvanized on my Challenger so I assume the Cuda ones are the same.  If yours are just dirty, scrub them down with soap/water and steel wull.  Mine look almost brand new but it did take a long time.  Some have suggested lightly blasting them with walnut shells but I have not tried it.  The buckets were galvanized before being stamped.  If the galvanizing is removed, it can't be reapplied.

Check out the last post in this link.  It shows the radiator blackout pattern on a 72 Cuda.  Every car will be unique so looking at your car is the best way to get it correct.  This pic will give you a guide though.

It's not really a flat black.  More of a semigloss satin black.   I just redid mine and they turned out great with some spray bomb satin black from Walmart.

I've heard a lot of people saying they used SEM Trim Black for the rad blackout.  I picked up a can but havn't sprayed mine yet.
