absolutey Al.  One tire is blown through a stud.  Another has a slow leak through a stud.  And the main one, the front drivers, has a hole on both sides from wall to wall.
Stids definitely played a part.

Wow Josh,
That is an incredible story! :22yikes:Glad you were not hurt. I once had lightning strike a pine tree right next to my car while I was sitting at a stop light. It split it from top to bottom & set it on fire. I was only a few feet away and had to change my drawers!! I am surprised it didn't fry your electrical system! That's a story to tell for years!! :woo:

That's crazy! When I was a kid I lived in Pampa, Texas. They get some pretty good storms up there in the panhandle. Amarillo had just gotten the new "Doppler Radar". I was in the back yard watching a storm come in. I decided to play "doppler radar" and got on the shed and starting acting like a radar. For some reason I just happened to look up and then jumped off the shed, without even thinking about it! (I think the good Lord pushed me...) A lightning bolt hit the shed right as I was jumping off! My mom was coming out at the time and saw it happen! It scared her more than it did me, I didn't really grasp what just happened.

Scary stuff, glad you are OK.I have had a few close calls myself-one was at a shop where the big tree right outside the window on the back wall got hit-scared the crap outa me sounding like an explosion on the roof!Second time was in my garage duiring a storm and I heard a lightning strike outside and the next thing I know I feel a sting on my a$$-turns out the battery charger was on and while standing next to the rear bumper a jolt of static electricity jumped across and zapped me!Third time nothing happened but it`s pretty scary when you are in a helicopter with a lightning storm all around us-we landed safely but I think even the pilot was a bit nervous.

  Thank God you didn't get hurt, glad to hear you're OK ! ! ! ! !

'Cuda Hunter,
Would you happen to know an old hippie named Jim Ruggles in the Salida area? He grew up here in Elkhart, but has been in Salida for a lot of years.....

Man, Ruggles sounds familiar.  Small area here so I might actually know him.
What does he do?  Job wise of course.

He's a trust fund kid, Grandma left all 4 kids a chunk of money. Last I knew he didn't have a full time job. He played piano in a local band. He's a tall slender guy, probably still has pretty long dark hair. He never gave up the hippie thing, heck, I wouldn't have either, but I'm kind of addicted to things like food, clothing and shelter...... I think he lives about 10,000 feet up on some mountain, maybe it's a dirt road to get there. I'm pretty sure it's a Salida address. Maybe it was a Salida PO box. I suspect he would most easily be found at a bar in the evening playing in the band.
He was sighted a while back by an old semi retired buddy (Buck Walsworth) that works at an RV dealership out there. I knew Buck back when he owned a motorcycle shop in Indiana, he raced moto cross. Mostly road Pentons and won lots of races. It's a small word, I had not seen Buck in 30 years, then caught up with him a a national RV show in Louisville KY. That's where he told me he'd seen Jim. Jim might still have a dirt bike.......  It would be real crazy if you know him!

Hp2, I believe you are right.  I have had to run down the top of mt. Antero with my woman once when a huge lightning storm appeared on the horizon and traveled to us in a matter of 5 minutes or so.  Very exciting.  Had to throw all my metal belongings on that one.  Hammer, belt, back pack, change, everything metal.

Glennstar,
My emplioyees ex-wife's whole family is the Ruggle family.  Are there more than one related to Jim up here.  I knew that sounded awful familiar.  I have met a few of the Ruggles.  Not sure about Jim but good chance.
