70-71 Challengers are usually more money that the 72 and later Ebodies.  The Chally looks cool also, but would need to see A LOT more pics to try to determine condition...bondo...rust...etc. How far away are you from these cars?

The 72 440 Cuda is BH... :banghead: and the 74 is too slow...  :banghead:
What's your plan for this car?  Is it an investment or a toy or ...?  If it's not an investment, I think people tend to get WAY too distracted on whether a Plymouth E-Body is a BH or BS.  Even as an investment, I tend to think you'll make a little on a BH, unless you overpay up front.

Both are sweet rides, regardless of the VIN's.  If you something quick that you don't have to agonize over, buy the BH and ENJOY.   :2cents:

Looking for both really. Toy, and investment.

Is the SE some sort of economy version of the Challenger? Rear window is smaller than usual?

The SE is the upscale modle.  A lot of trim options came with the SE package.  Smaller rear window, overhead console, special tail panel trim piece, door panel carpet w/reflector.  I think some extra hood trim came on the SE's too.  It was a 3 piece trim back by the windwhield.  It went accross both fenders and hood.

I think prices are pretty high for all 3 cars...
How much would you have to add to the price of a car imported from within the EU...?  Did you check out what cars are for sale in Sweden?

For import it's alot.. Don't know exactly.. Yeah, I searched in Sweden.. But.. It's Norway. Anywhere you turn they will tax you, put duty on your sh*t and demand a fee for doing so. And then they put an additional fee on top of that fee, and demand taxes of that fee and its duty and then they wi......

<snip>...   These cars pick their owners... <snip>
I totally agree with that point.

When I started looking I knew I wanted Baracuda...  I didn't know all the little details about this year has X and that year has Y...  BS is A and BH is B...  Baracuda vs. Cuda... I started getting caught up in it and realized it didn't really matter all that much to me.

If I'm sitting in ANY Baracuda/Cuda I'd be happy, and I'd look a hell of a lot better than the guy driving the Honda Accord sitting next to me...  (my other car)

I went through all the info I learned on this site from all these great people, made a list of what "I" wanted and I'm very soon going to realize my dream.

My car found me...  :)

Do the same and yours will find you.. have patience...

i've owned both barracuda's and challengers, and am partial to the barracuda's.  that being said, i am a sucker for sublime (FJ5) challengers with a black R/T stripe on the side.  kind of like the car Sam Posey drove in the Trans-Am race series back in 1970.  i'd get the challenger, get a T/A hood, and have a blast!

That Challenger kicks a$$!  + it's a '70 the most desireable year.  If it's solid thats what I would pick.

X2.
This car is in a shape you don't have to keep it strict original, you can go on developing it for street use, or if you some day like to do an all original specs restoration, it would be possible for you. I think the Barracuda seller have had them two cars for sale for years now, there must be a reason they don't sell. In my opinion an easy one: price tag is way to steep (compared to the  70-71's). I haven't seen those two cars (only the  Challenger which I considered to buy from previous owner!), they may be nice cars, be in nice conditions, have a nice history, but I don't think they are a nice find. Good luck on your search!

Flew to Oslo, and got picked up by the guy with the Challenger I was going to buy, the lime green one I wrote about...
We drove south from the airport in it for 1 hour. No problems. Looked it over. That car is in damn fine condition...
No rust, new paint, new vinyl roof, flawless interior, 383cid with a 727 automatic trans, killer exhaust pipe mod.
Plus he had one 383 in reserve that came with the car.
So I did the only sensible thing and bought it..

Drove it, heading for home for approx 30 mins, then it boiled over...
The guy I bought it from was very helpful, came and looked at it. Unscrewed the engine thermostat lid in order to remove the thermostat, as this was the obvious reason...
There was no thermostat in it... No apparent reason for it to boil over then. Couldn't take a chance on driving it over the mountain across Norway in that condition, so I returned it to the guy, and will get my money transfered back. Took a train to the airport and flew back home.

EPIC FAIL.

Really depressed. What a great car that would have been to own. It was gorgeous.

Anyway, I'm back to where I started. The search goes on.

Go back & get the SE Challenger , these cars have to have a thermostat or they will boil over , just put in a 180* thermostat & the problem will be solved
