You never know whats down the block
« on: July 01, 2010 - 12:23:33 AM »
I thought you guys would like to see this.
I've lived here over twenty years and untill 2 years ago I never knew of this car garaged less than 30 yards from mine! I had the opportunity to see it (in the garage) 2 years ago under a pile of boxes and other crap. I get a call from another neighbor telling me, hey the chargers out in the alley if you wanna come and see it. I couldn't get out of the shop, so I pleaded with the wife to take a few pics! I was surprised to see the R/T badge on a 318 car thats sat for over 20 years. Its going to Florida now. I hope he finally does it some justice!

Great shots... thanks for sharing!
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

your wife took some nice pics.  Must not be the first time she has taken pictures of a muscle car. Will MOPARs every stop popping up from nowhere?  Too bad there isn't an endless supply.  Then again, they wouldn't be a rare if the supply were endless.

Dave, I gotta give credit to the wife for the shots. I thought she did pretty good and then some. She's never used may camera before!!! I will say that Charger was in lots better shape than I expected. The time I was able to get a peek at it there was so much crap on/around it you really couldnt see much more than the color.
You just never know....  :2thumbs:

Just yesterday I was driving to a shop up here in PA to get some BOP's tested. I drove right by a 74 challenger and a 67 Charger sitting in front of a welding shop. Today I stopped by and looked at it. Completed rusted out. I can't even tell you how bad they were. The hoods felt like they were made out of tin. The charger had an old note on the windshield that said "To the owner. Interested in selling? Please call....". No telling how long the cars have been sitting.

No Side bulge scoops was a dead giveaway. All 70 R/T chargers had them. Restored real 70 R/T Chargers are worth some pretty good coin.

I would have loved the opportunity to buy it. Its so much cleaner than my GTX. And I got that 440HP block just sitting and waiting...  :burnout:
