« on: July 04, 2010 - 10:42:14 PM »
turn signals work
emeregancy lights work
front lights work

pretty much everything else works except the dame brake lights ...

i already checked the fuse and its not that. We checked the brake switch and thats not it.

I saw that it might be the Turn Signal Switch ? but how could it be that ? and where is it located?

I assume you are getting power in & out of the brake switch ,from there it goes up the column to the turn signal switch under the steering wheel from there it goes out the the brake lights .

Maybe a bulb socket fell out of the housing, sometimes when you put stuff in the trunk, a socket will fall out of the light housing.

nope that was another place that we looked at first

its probably the TS switch ... the only was for us to test it without removing the steering wheel is to connect it outside near the brake

we checked the all the wires and we r getting power from the brake switch so could the last resort be the TS Switch ?

so could someone point me in the right direction? which wires pertain to the brake lights

is the turn signal switch just that yellow portion ??? or is it the entire part ??

if so how would i go about removing the old yellow one and putting in the new one ?

my dad refuses to believe that the  turn signal switch has anything to do with the brake lights. So much so that he has removed the brake light switch. we found out it does work

So now you can tell him that you know more than he does!
