cuda hood question. need quck answer

Looking at a hood at carlisle. Its a rally hood says 71-74. Are the 70,s the same hoods?

Probably has something to do with the early hoods not having crumple zones.  The hood your looking at must have the crumple zones in the understructure.  The outward apearance would be the same though.

Yes, 70's did not have the crumple zones.  I'm pretty sure they will all work though.

This may be late. '71 to '74 hoods had 3 holes drilled in the bottom left corner for the "Plymouth" nameplate, '70's didn't. They can be filled in though. Also, in Dutch's resto thread he mentions that the scoop's inserts mount from the back meaning it doesn't use the screws from the front.

1970 hoods used smaller diameter hinge bolts.
