acudanut,

There was nothing that stopped me from wanting that Cuda except not being able to get a response from the seller on the few questions that I had for him...  I think someone got a hell of a deal.

I'm calling the guy in MO this morning to see what he has.  Thank you for letting me know about this.

Jon

I can't believe it!

I called this guy this morning and left a message (it was only listed yesterday).  He never called me back and now this afternoon it is deleted by author (assumably he sold it).

You guys are great at finding them!  I just can't get anyone to call me back...

Something like that.

Pretty soon my signature is going to be just like yours and read:

"Still looking for a 71 Cuda before someone else buys it!"

acudanut,

You're right.  I wish I could have pulled the trigger.  I just have a hard time buying something without knowing anything about it.  If I can't even get a hold of the seller to ask him a few simple questions it makes me scared to know what would show up on the truck when it got delivered.  Know what I mean?

$25k-$30k minimum I would think. Maybe more if it's nice. I'd have to see pictures. Quality of restoration etc... A guy I know just sold a pretty nicely restored 71 340 4 speed real Shaker car for just under $30k. It wasn't matching numbers but pretty nice.

I'm with Crocha.  Everything I've seen lately is that a 71 with decent paint, body, etc is $30Kish.

Just a brief update:

I've had a LOT of people sending me people to check with, links to craigslist, ebay, etc etc etc.

I really appreciate all the good leads.  I'm following up on everything.  I'll keep updating this post with threads.  Hopefully the last post will be a picture of a 71 Cuda being unloaded from a truck and into my garage!

this car will be available in the spring, but it will look a little different. it has new floors, new drivers quarter, new gilled fenders and soon a fresh hemi orange paint job with billboards and a go wing. the drive train is a 440-6 ,4 speed and 4.10 rear, it was an original g code car.. i just put the 4 speed in with a new ram clutch set up. oh and new seat covers. i dont know how much of a rush you are in but the car should be painted within a month to two months then i am going to reassemble it and drive it around for a little bit then it is going on the block so i can fund my other car (cuda of course). i will proably be looking to get $25k for it. have a merry x mas guys!

25K? That sounds like a steal of a deal to me -- especially considering all you will have done to the car by that time. If I weren't so deeply invested in my cuda already, I'd definitely be a candidate for buying yours. It sounds awesome.
