 Speed and horsepower.... It's all a matter of economics. How fast do you want to go?   :money:

Well I know I'll get alot of slack for this but based on how fast I would like to go and the fact I still want to be completely streetable my build up plans include the use of a turbo or for that matter turbos. If I want to go all motor (N/A) in hopes to go into the (high) nines will require big dollar heads, intake, new headers, and a huge cam. At that point all streetablitly heads out the door. Case in point is that I drove my Cuda 4 hours round trip to Rockingham dragway last summer on a 95 degree day, lowered the air pressure on the drag radials went low 11s and drove it back home. This what I concider streetable. I live close to a guy that goes by instigator on moparts that went 5.60s in the eight mile  :scared: on a fairly basic small block with edelbrock heads (the same as what I have currently) with the help of a home made twin turbo set up. Keep in mind turbos dont need lots of cam hence good streetablity. That translates to low 9 second/ high 8 second car that can be driven anywhere. I have to chose my battles and looks like this is the way I'm heading!! :2thumbs:

It's the 3800 lbs that makes it tuff with any engine displacement.   Not impossible tho :2thumbs:

It wont happen over night I can promise that. I'm pulling the engine in a month or two. Ryan at shady-dell is going to work my heads to the max and is choosing a new cam for me. I'm having a local mopar guru transfer my stroker parts into the Resto block. I plan on putting the engine back in N/A to see what it will run on the new set up and from that point I'll start to hammer away on the turbo set up. I'm hoping for mid tens on motor only. Ryan seems to think that is totally possible. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Dave I am with you on small blocks.  I have always had better luck at making power with them.  Don't get me wrong I have had some good running big blocks too but I still prefer the small block setup.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Don't forget that the small block has already given the car a weight reduction and then when you get to the other end it will pull up better and change direction better.   :burnout:   :stirpot:

3800lb smallblock cuda??? I guess your smallblock power!!! needs a poweradder cause that dud cant do it N/A.... thats right that dud needs RACE gas to make a pass. real street cars make passes on pump gas  :poopoke:

You know I could stand to lose some weight myself which would help out some. I wish I could start over and build a light weight go-cart with a 540 cuin monster but I guess I'm stuck with the crap I have. :poopoke:

Jason,
I know I should feel slightly insulted but for some reason I feel loved that you took the time to put my car in your signature line up. :woohoo: ;)

Don,
You had better quit asking about 10 and 11 second e-body combos if you think your going to catch me. 11 seconds... been there, done that. But either way its beer time at the end of the day!!! :poopoke:
