69 barracuda help
« on: July 22, 2010 - 07:19:30 PM »
Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, just getting back into mopars after a while.  My dad and I are ready to buy a 1969 barracude 383 but I have alot of questions about this car.  Numbers matching engine, tranny.  No fendertag.  Part of the build sheet is with the car, can read the vin and some interior and suspension options.  My questions concern the missing fendertag, what do I need to do to make sure I am getting a formula s car?  The vin says its a 383 car, so at the least it is a formula S?  If anyone is knowledgeable in these cars please pm me, I would appreciate it greatly.  Thanks alot guys, hope to be posting some pics soon!

I'm going to preface my answer the way I preface a bunch of my answers here, which is "Someone more knowledgeable than me is going to come along and give you better info."

That having been said, I don't think that the 383 was the only Formula S motor. Can you get images of whatever part of the broadcast sheet the owner has?

If it is the same guy, he emailed me a few days ago. I know very little about the '69s.
