LESS THAN 1,500 MILES HAVE BEEN PUT ON THE CAR SINCE BEING RESTORED!

What we have is a very rare and heavily documented 1974 Plymouth 360 Duster. In fact it is probably the only 360 Duster you will find that came loaded with these options and is in this kind of condition. This car has been owned and cared for by an elderly gentleman here in the Kansas City area for nearly a decade now. He actually acquired it from the original owner who was also an elderly gentleman who always wanted to restore the old Duster but unfortunately, never had the means to do so. It is completely turn key and is absolutely astonishing in person. It has rarely seen the light of day and about the only mileage that has been put on the Duster (since being restored) is when it is backed out of the garage and washed.

Most everything on this Duster is new. The entire front end, brake lines, fuel lines, even the motor. The old Duster has only had about 1,500 miles put on her from the time she was completed. It was taken out on the 2004 Power Tour which is where the bulk of those miles came from. The Duster ran out flawlessly through out the Power Tour and is just as turn key today as it was six years ago.

Engine & Mechanical: We are including two motors and two transmissions with the Duster. We do have the original numbers matching 360 along with the numbers matching three speed transmission which we will be including with the Duster. Today, the Duster has a 1973 dated 360 which was completely gone through before being installed. It is in excellent working order and has a tremendous amount of power. It does not make any odd noises, it does not leak, nor does it use an excess amount of fluids. It is in excellent mechanical order. As you will notice, the original carburetor setup was completely gone through and is perfectly tuned. You can hop in, tap the gas twice, and bam she just starts purring. The transmission within the Duster today is a four speed which is also in excellent working order. There are no grinds, slips, or any issues of any kind. She shifts smoothly through her gears with ease. Both the motor and transmission have an estimated 1,500 miles on both since being rebuilt and installed. The 355 Sure Grip Posi was also gone through and it too is in excellent working order. The disc brakes have been completely gone through and are in excellent working order. The Duster does not shift, shimmy, or pull when braking.

Body: Something particularly intriguing about this Duster is that it came from the factory with the Hemi Torque Boxes which you will see located in the photos below. From my understanding, the Hemi and 440 Six Pack cars were the only ones that came with the Hemi Torque Boxes but in 1974, they added them to the 360 models. The body on this Duster is for the most part (99%), completely original. The only sheet metal that is not original to the Duster is within the passenger side lower quarter. A very small slither of metal was used to patch the very bottom section of the quarter (about a 2 x 6 inch piece). The only way you would know that this work was completed was by me telling you. Other then that, the car still retains all of its original sheet metal and is completely solid. The trunk, floor pans, frame rails, quarters, doors, rockers, fenders, roof, trunk lid, hood, every bit of sheet metal is solid and in excellent condition. The paint on the car is also in great shape. It was done professionally and as you will notice, it does shine out beautifully. There are a couple of very small spots that have received some small amounts of touch up paint but they are hardly noticeable. There are no cracks, spider webbing, runs, bubbling, or major blemishes through out the paint. Both the front and rear bumper are new and shine out beautifully. There is no pitting or major scratches through out either bumper. The rest of the chrome through out the Duster is also in great shape and shines out beautifully. All of the weather stripping was replaced and is also in great shape. All of the glass through out the Duster is original and it is all in excellent condition. There is no major pitting or cracks. The wheel and tire setup was upgraded to 15's which I believe the tires are seven inches wide. It does make a tremendous amount of difference in how she handles. She just hugs the road and it makes for a much more enjoyable ride. As you will notice, the original jack and spare are still in the car. They are both in excellent condition.

Interior: As you will notice the interior has also been completely gone through and is in excellent condition. From top to bottom, it is all in great shape. The carpet is not faded, there are no tears through out any of the upholstery. All of the electrical components through out the Duster were completely gone through and every single item works. The windshield wiper blades, turn signals, dash lights, tail lights, head lights, interior lights, every electrical component is in excellent working order! Even the rare AM FM radio works!

I have many more photos of this car so please do not hesitate to ask. Please feel free to call with any questions or concerns you might have.
We are asking 17k.

Thanks,
Shawn

Sorry for the confusion, that statement was meant to reference only the Six Pack and Hemi cars in regards to their Hemi torque boxes. I'll be sure to edit that. Thank you for the feedback.

Thanks,
Shawn

Nice Duster,
My '74 360 Duster in my avatar was bought from my friend the (original owner) and had 18,000 street miles and always garaged. I bought it in '85 and raced it as a NHRA Stock Eliminator car for 17yrs. Sold it to another racer in Pa. still racing it..

BEST OF LUCK WITH YOUR SALE... :2thumbs:
