I appreciate the help... I also appreciate all of the Holley guys that have held back from giving me the old ''Told you not to buy an Eddy''. I've already got a ton of that locally. Looking back, the Eddy was probably a mistake. But, I'm going to give it a fair chance. I may be wrong, but I believe this thing should get the job done if it's set up right. The real question may be, how much crap do you have to put up with to get it to work?
The guys that built my motor let me try the 750 Holley that they use when they dyno engines (tried it last week), it was better than the Eddy, but still fell off WAY at the top. It was close!
The 850 that did work was not a stock 850, this thing had something done to it for drag racing. Maybe this motor is just plain thirty!!!!
I spoke to 2 guys at Eledbrock tech today. The first guy sucked, the second guy (Art) was fantastic. we'll try what he suggests and go from there.
The first guy said to go to their #1466 ''High Flow Needle Seat'', that was all the help he'd offer. So I called back looking for more help. Art had me adjust the secondary and also asked that I go to their ''PINK'' springs on the metering rods. He gave me his direct line and asked that I have him work with me until it's right.
