RR Whel Housing for convertible
« on: July 26, 2010 - 07:44:01 AM »
I need to fix the rear wheel housing of my vert and I'm not sure if fix the existing one or get a replacement part, if it exists.  I've found only replacement for hardtop while the convertible version seems to be different.

Do you know if a replacement part for converible exists or if it's worth to get an hartop version and modify it ?

thanks.

Inner and outer are the hardtop housings with the tops cutoff and a cap put in place. Looks like you still have the caps in place and in good shape. just buy the hardtop pieces and use what you need. Most of my convert sheetmetal I bought the hardtop versions and will modify to work.

no convertable specifics are available. you will have to modify what is available

Nice car, I liked the verts...

Should be easy to modify the hardtop versions like Dave said.

well, I got some progress on the whell housing.  I have rebuilt the lower area and the little bracket with the hole (is it a fix point for the jack ????).   My question is:   I need to make the same job on the right wheel housing or it doesn't have the hole on the bottom ?    Do you have any pics of a rear convertible right whell housing ?

thanks.

The jack spring retainer mounts on the trunk floor (drop off section on top). The other side looks the same as far as the wheel well is concerned. Looking good, by the way!
