If you want to know the secret......Google Images....start with all the info available like  5/16" Male SAE x 5/16" Brass Hose Barb....then take some out
5/16" Male  Hose Barb or 5/16" Brass Hose Barb & search again..etc etc.

Is it 5/16 on both ends?  The barb end seems like 5/16" should work (the hose is said to be a 11/32"....that should be ok I would think?) But for the line end --  1/2-20 was mentioned, then 5/16" was mentioned for the line end.   :clueless:

1/2-20 refers to the thread type & size
5/16 is the tubing size

So the last link that Wade posted, which says "    5/16" SAE x 5/16" HOSE BARB " isnt the correct one? Or is that " 5/16" SAE" part referring to the hole in the fitting and the fitting will just automatically be 1/2-20 ?

Good Catch...I'm not sure which is the correct size, I was searching 5/16 both times as I know this is the tubing diameter.
They also have the 1/2" ...seems that some info is lacking

Thanks Terry.

I went to buy it and check out and they want $12.41 to ship it.  LOL

I may call and see if they can do any better, but I refuse to pay $12 to ship a $2 part.  LOL

At least I know now what I need.....

I just e-mailed them to ask that.   I cant see why they couldnt.

I also emailed a bunch of other more-or-less local plumbing houses a picture and the description, so maybe one of those will pan out.

Cant believe a $2 fitting is so damn hard to find around here.

Thanks Bullitt....I'd 'ppreciate it.

Thanks man

Dont go out of your way....I do still want to use the fitting on the tranny line end...but I am still deciding how to run the lines after that....I am leaning toward bending/using some steel line that goes between the cooler location and the rad location, and then tying into the cooler with short hoses, and the same at the rad end.....more complicated but that way I dont have to figure out where to stuff/route the two hoses......do they make a compression fitting x barb?

If anyone has pics of their setup I would appreciate seeing them for ideas.
