Some Progress!
« on: July 26, 2010 - 08:47:04 PM »
After my motivational trip to carlisle, I started spending some time in the garage working on the challenger. Here is what I been up to...... Mostly prep work and final primer sanding and getting ready to start spraying the B5 blue in all the usual places for assembly to do the finish paint on the car.

it looks good.  How do you plan to spay the B5?  I mean, do you start to shoot the inside of panels, then you assemble them and finally do the finish paint on the exterior of the whole car ?

yes Im going to spray the inside of the front and rear valance, door jambs, door frames and inside the fenders. underside of the hood and trunk lid,  re-assemble and then spray the whole car, I still have to pull the 340 out and detail the engine bay and primer it for paint, but im thinking i might get that done this weekend.(hopefully!)    :working:

I usually get motivated by going to car shows too.   Just remember that if you do a little bit everyday it will all add up to something good.

I'm hoping on Carlisle 2011 too.

Keep up the good work the detail work now will make the best paint job. The prepping is the hardest part of a paint job but it shows in the finished paint too. Take your time and do it right you have a great start can not wait to see it painted.

:iagree: When you look at project as a whole, it can be pretty intimidating. But if you take it piece by piece and try to knock out a little each day, you can get it done and have something to be proud of. BTW, I may have missed it but what Blue are you using? Looks really close to EB7 from the pics.
