Just polished it with 2500 grit. Now it's getting there. Next step is flitz or semichrome on a soft buffer wheel. What I found works really good is to sand in one direction when you are getting closer to mirror finish. I use warm water and dish soap on the sandpaper for finish up before final rinse. Then wipe off with soft paper towel or better is a soft cloth like a diaper.

Ordered the sticker. I'll do the final polish on it Sunday.

I really liked this idea I saw on an earlier post.

Shine is coming thru now after the first polish/buffing. I bought a polish compound that is a tube hard stick (white) and a soft cotton buffer wheel at HF. Both for like 10 bucks. This is only the first buff done on only the top. Next week it should be completed.

Very nice job with the polishing so far, Mike!  It definitely takes some time to get a nice finish like that, but it'll definitely be worth the effort. :grinyes:

Whitby is about an hour and a half from me. Funny how it made it all the way to you in CA? :clueless:
Great job on the polishing Mike!

Whitby is a bedroom city for Toronto on it's east side, before Oshawa. If you get something going, I get out there from time to time if you needed a body to go there. Let me know Mike.

No I was just curious if he still sells these now since Mopar is now the licensed maker of these currently.
