Remember your first sure Grip/Posi experience?
« on: August 01, 2010 - 09:48:33 PM »
Well I do. Many years ago, just put the sure grip in.

I was at an intersection and gunned it. My A$$ end swung out in front of me. Scared the crap outta myself. No one ever coached me what happens when you hit it.

Then it dawned on me,  turn into your a$$ sliding out at you.

That they where.  Nothing like stabbing the throttle with a little water on the road.  :burnout:  :burnout:  Oh and a clean pair of shorts.  :grinyes:

Try to drive a AAR 4 speed with a 3.91 posi and big tires on ice and snow. Fun all right more stuck than moving with drifts 5' to 6' deep and blowing snow. :cooldancing:

I bought a limited slip center section ($106 from the dealer) 6 years ago for my wifes Liberty.  This is the reason I haven't installed it.  It's a stick and don't want the thing changing ends on her in the rain.

The goal never changes - Stop the 60' timer with your back tires
