Boiling water part 2

Well, I noticed my radiator fan had stopped making noise (it was a loud thing).  Figured it must be electrical and I'd have something else to work on...

Ha!  I was just a little bit wrong...

Not sure these two little fans did much anyway...  now they certainly don't...

Have been reading about everyone using the HHR fan... certainly the right price and seems like a real performer.
That may be next on the list.

I pulled the entire assembly apart and didn't find ANY identification.  They came with the car when I bought it, but honestly I'm ready to move on and find something better. 

If I can figure out how to wire up one of those HHR fans without torching my car I will...

just use a relay for the fan runing power off the battery directly , make sure it is fused

Seems easy enough based on what I'm finding on this forum.  I'll post what I'm doing to get QA from the experts.

 I bought the painless wiring fan relay kit. I think I paid more for that than I did for the fan!

Ha Brad!  Sounds more like a painful wiring kit... 
This is an unexpected cost against spending I really want to do (hood pins, paint job, etc.)

I see relays are cheap, so the entire wiring thing shouldn't be more than $20 (if that).
