I wonder if I could cut the sump off that and weld up to a small block pan?   

Probably for a E-body but not with an A-body....

That pan looks like it fits the bill for hard acceleration and hard cornering. The related question here is - while I was doing some hard cornering on the weekend I was wondering if I was losing oil pressure? Guage reacts too slow to tell. I have the 6qt hemi pan, 3/8 pickup and windage tray. I think I will hook up an idiot light switch set for 20PSI to tell, and mount a big red LED under the dash. The switch would be tee'd off where the guage sender is. Anyone done this?

There are probably 12-15 people interested in one, which would get the price down around $400, but Canton won't design it, I have to. Sooo, until I get time to actually crawl around under a car and take measurements and mock up dimensions, nothing is happening.

This is the u-weld it kit, looks like moroso discontinued it though. Might be worth calling them to see if they have any around their warehouse....

I have done this as standard practice on all my motors. I had a 72 340 that was pretty built about 6 years ago and when i would corner hard, or get a little to squirrely with it the light would flash. That one had a milodon 7 qt (drag racing style) pan and pickup on it.
