I've never heard of runs being visible after sanding if you do it right; as long as you're sanding it down flat with a block and buff it up nicely it should be fine.

Wow!  Great thread and great progress.  I thought I was going to be sad to see the blue go, but the white looks outstanding.  Keep inspiring us  :2thumbs:

I wouldn't worry about the runs either.  Just wetsand them down and buff. If you break through, then sand and reshoot. Believ me, i have had to do it a couple times on my project also    :banghead:

yea ,i hope i didnt jump the gun with installing challengergarys stripes on the front fender,if i am going to have to reshoot them. i just couldnt resist seeing what its going to look like LOL

Weather has been real humid lately so i dont think im going to get much painting bodywork done during the week. Heres a few pics for now. I am using stainless bolts and washers for the fenders, looks real clean.

got the fenders/hood aligned. Also got the lower valnce in the front bolted together.
Shaved the rear valance(removed bumperette slots) . Just need to do body work on the rear valance and bumper and paint them along with the front headlight surround and front bumper .

 I saw that comming Nick  :roflsmiley:  You do like that streach of road don't ya,?  Isn't that also where the old 383 got a "breather hole" from a connecting rod? Ya know, the dual quad intake and heads I bought from you. Nick what you accomplish with the limited space/facilities is amazing, too bad you don't have a 36x50 shop somewhere.  Sweet buddy  :2thumbs:

LOL thanks guys. it actually took about a month and a half . i work 6 days a week and really only hammerd down on sunday and some nights. i did alot of painting at the crack of dawn.  Just got back from some late night test and tune. What a bad scene. Freakin water pump let loose at 6k in 3rd doing a holeshot.I thought it was going to be another 383 thrown rod LOL!

Man grease and anit freeze everywhere. So lucky the fan didnt go through the rad. I got a ride home grabbed another pump, gaket and belt and buttoned it up and drove home.  Ill get some more vids for you guys soon! Heres the blown pump
