What i've been up to . Backyard 74 chall
« on: August 05, 2010 - 08:08:34 AM »
We just finished up my dads cuda about 4 months ag.  I  took my challenger out and was washing it, and then it all started. I kind of got aggrevated of the rust spots  here and there. The door hinges need rebuilt, I wanted to change the oil system on the motor etc. Just get the teenager out of it. I did this car with my dad 8 years ago and drove it to high school. Pics explain.

Sorry im going kind of fast. I painted the shell first. I sprayed it in the Am before work as the humidity was lower and less bugs.

Thanks!!! Yea,i have to stop in here more,i love checking out the resto threads.

As for the car, i ditched the front sway bar, swapped to manual steering, and lost some weight off the rear too so she should be a little quicker!! Im going to get some of the new challenger stick on emblems to use on the front fenders and the trunk lid. I want to put the stock seats back in too but i have to buy the front and rear covers.

Thanks! Yea i put it up for sale years ago to get money to try and buy a house ,but i was able to keep the car and still get the hosue so it worked out!  Its really nice having the car fresh. I loved the intense blue pearl, but theres no way i could of layed that down in my garage and it come out nice. plus the paint would of been crazy money! I was trying to get a "clean" look this time around.

heres when it was blue. Thank god those stang wheels are off !!
